Thing 16: Wikis

I use Wikipedia all the time. It is a great starting place. Just another great informational tool. Out of all the wikis, I liked Book Lovers Wiki and ALA 2006 New Orleans Wiki. These wiki's were set up great and easy to navigate.

Thing 15: Perspectives on 2.0

I really liked the youtube video. I read all five perspectives and I believe that libraries should move with the future technologies and realize that we are in a internet age where we can get information on just about anything, interact with our friends with blogs, myspace, facebook. We don't need to have all of information in book form, since a lot of questions I get, I go right to the internet and years past, we would have to search for answers in volumes of reference books. I am excited about the future of libraries and what direction we will be going into.

Thing 14: Technorati

I have always liked Technorati. I have now registered an account and claimed my blog. I now know how to add a tag to my blog and will start using them regularly. Time to get my blog up in the rankings.

Thing 13: Del.icio.us

Del.icio.us is a good feature to bookmark your favorite sites but I probably wouldn't use it.

Thing 12: Rollyo

Rollyo is a great place to go if you visit sites or have specific topics. You can pick up to 25 different topics. If you just want a quick search tool then Rollyo is for you.

Thing 11: Library Thing

Library Thing is pretty cool. I like the fact that I can add random books from my library to my blog. I like everything about it.
